FAQ’s About Brows

What is the difference between brow tinting and brow lamination?

  • Brow Tinting involves applying a semi-permanent dye to enhance the color of your natural brows, making them appear fuller and more defined. Brow Lamination, on the other hand, is a process where the brow hairs are brushed and set in a desired direction, creating a fuller, more lifted look that lasts for several weeks. Lamination does not involve dye, but it can be paired with tinting for a more dramatic effect.

How long does each brow service last?

  • Brow Tinting lasts about 4-6 weeks, depending on your skin type and aftercare.
  • Brow Lamination typically lasts 6-8 weeks with proper care.
  • Brow Waxing results can last 3-4 weeks, depending on hair growth.
  • Microblading is a semi-permanent tattoo and can last anywhere from 12-24 months before needing a touch-up.

Does brow lamination or microblading damage my natural brows?

No, when performed by a professional, brow lamination is a safe procedure that does not damage your natural brow hairs. It uses a gentle perming solution to style the brows. Microblading, when done correctly, does not harm your natural brows, though it does involve minor skin trauma. It’s important to follow aftercare instructions to avoid complications.

Is microblading painful?

Microblading involves creating small cuts in the skin to apply pigment, so some discomfort may be felt. Most professionals apply a numbing cream before the procedure to minimize any pain. Clients often describe the sensation as similar to light scratching. Pain tolerance varies by individual.

How should I care for my brows after each service?

  • For Tinting and Lamination, avoid getting your brows wet for 24-48 hours and avoid excessive rubbing or exfoliating in the brow area.
  • After Waxing, avoid sun exposure, hot showers, and exfoliation for 24 hours to reduce irritation.
  • With Microblading, follow your technician’s aftercare instructions carefully. This usually includes avoiding water, sweating, and makeup in the brow area for about 7-10 days. Also, avoid picking or scratching the scabs that form as the brows heal.
