What is Botox®?
BOTOX® is a cosmetic treatment that is used to reduce the appearance of frown lines. These are wrinkles in the area between your eyebrows and around your eyes. BOTOX® Cosmetic is a purified form of botulinum toxin type A, which has been approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for treating moderate to severe facial lines and wrinkles in adults. It works by temporarily blocking communication between the nerves and muscles in the treatment area, causing them to relax. The results last up to 4 months, depending on how quickly your body metabolizes it. At Rouge & Wright we offer BOTOX® consultations so you can decide whether or not this treatment is right for you. During these consultations we will discuss the benefits of BOTOX®, as well as any potential side effects or risks associated with it. We also provide advice on how to ensure that you get the most out of your injections and have the best possible results.

How Does Botox Work?
BOTOX® Cosmetics is a cosmetic procedure that can be used to reduce the appearance of moderate to severe frown lines. What Can I Expect During My Consultation?
During your BOTOX Cosmetic treatment, you will begin with a consultation to discuss your concerns and the areas of your face that you would like to have treated. Your doctor will then select the appropriate injection sites and administer three to five injections of BOTOX Cosmetic. The injections are very small and generally painless. Your doctor might also apply an ice pack or topical anesthesia to reduce any discomfort during the treatment. After the injections, you may experience some slight redness or swelling in the treated area, but this should resolve quickly. Depending on the severity of wrinkles or other signs of aging, you may need to repeat treatments every three months for optimal results.
